Software Engineer

Our teams build products for internal and external customers across SEEK Pass and the wider SEEK Group. A Software Engineer is a core member of one of our SEEK Pass Engineering teams who is eager to learn and grow their technical skills. As a Software Engineer, you will work closely with senior team members while continuing developing your expertise in software development and engineering practices. 

You will develop software within product delivery/systems/platform teams, contributing to code quality, learning from experienced engineers, and demonstrate enthusiasm for your craft through user-centric, reliable solutions. 

Responsibilities

• Contributing to building, maintaining and improving our platforms 
• Learning about security and privacy best practices for user data 
• Assisting with partner and authority integrations 
• Growing your understanding of business requirements and product direction 

Some of the technology we're using includes: 

• Ruby on Rails and Node.js 
• React and React Native 
• GraphQL  
• Terraform 
• All aspects of AWS

• Some experience or strong interest in back-end and/or front-end development, ideally with RoR, Node.js or React/React Native 
• 1 to 3 years of software development experience 
• Ability to write clean, readable code 
• Interest in learning about scalable, secure systems architecture 
• Basic understanding of software design principles 
• Familiarity with agile software development practices 
• Curiosity about microservices architecture 
• Willingness to learn about third-party system integrations 
• Interest in developing data and application security knowledge 
• Basic understanding of cloud services (AWS preferred) or eagerness to learn
