Software Engineer (Remote - Namer)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Software Engineer in North America.

In this role, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of satellite ground system software in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including system and test engineers, to design, implement, and optimize software solutions that support critical operations. Using modern development tools and frameworks in cloud and on-premise environments, you will build reliable, scalable applications while participating in agile processes. This position emphasizes both hands-on development and collaborative problem-solving, providing opportunities to work on innovative projects in a mission-driven technical environment. The role also requires maintaining high standards of software quality, adhering to security requirements, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Accountabilities:

·         Develop, test, and deploy software solutions for satellite ground systems using AWS, Java Spring Boot, Golang, ReactJS/HTML/CSS, Maven, Git, Docker, and Linux.

·         Collaborate with system engineers to interpret design specifications and with test engineers to resolve bugs and optimize performance.

·         Participate actively in agile development processes, including 2-week sprints and tracking work in JIRA.

·         Support full software development lifecycle, from requirement analysis through design, coding, testing, and maintenance.

·         Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, software version control, and containerized applications.

·         Contribute to process improvements, knowledge sharing, and team collaboration to enhance software quality and efficiency.

Requirements

·         Active DoD Secret security clearance investigated within the last 5 years.

·         5+ years of software development experience in C, C++, C#, or Java within Linux or Windows environments.

·         Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline.

·         Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills with experience in root cause analysis.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication and team collaboration skills.

·         Ability to travel up to 10% and work on-site in Orlando, FL.

·         Experience in agile frameworks, software version control, CI/CD, and cloud development (AWS).

·         Preferred: Satellite communications engineering experience, IAT Level 1 or higher certification, and experience applying machine learning to large datasets.
