The Role

We’re looking for someone to join the Artist & Content Experience team as our new Software Engineer. You will work closely with other Engineers in the team, as well as the Tech Lead, Product Manager, and Engineering Manager. This position will be an integral part of helping artists be successful in the Redbubble marketplace by designing, building, and maintaining features and systems for artists to create and sell high-quality content.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Planning, coding, testing, deploying, and monitoring software involves engaging in every aspect of software product development from inception to deployment and maintenance.
  • Contribute to initiatives within the Artist Experience and Content team to meet business objectives as well as be in line with Redbubble’s Engineering Principles, Tech Radar, and architecture standards.
  • Participate in code reviews to learn and provide feedback.
  • Partner with other engineers to establish technical development skills and good engineering practices.
  • Influencing discussions on technical approach and feasibility, as well as feature delivery
  • Providing input to leaders and members of your cross-functional team to design and validate solutions

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • 4+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Relevant commercial skills and experience across the full stack in Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, or React
  • Experience developing, testing, deploying, and troubleshooting issues in a production environment 
  • Highly proficient in the architecture and implementation of distributed and scalable systems
  • Proficient with CI/CD concepts and tooling
  • Ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, and manage your own workload in a hybrid working environment
