Job summary
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the design, development, and maintenance of our platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software that meets the needs of our customers.
What you will do
- Work within an Agile (Scrum/Kanban) team to develop services and applications.
- Write, debug, and maintain code under the guidance of senior team members (primarily in Java, with exposure to Python or other languages).
- Collaborate with teammates to design, develop, and test software solutions.
- Assist in the development and optimization of database schemas and queries for applications.
- Learn and utilize tools for automation, such as Jenkins, Gradle, JUnit, and Terraform.
- Participate in code reviews to improve skills and learn best practices.
- Monitor and troubleshoot software performance issues with team support.
- Stay updated with new technologies and share insights with your team.

- Write efficient and maintainable code, adhering to best practices.
- Design, query, and optimize database solutions to ensure scalability and performance.
- Debug and resolve coding, design, and database-related issues under guidance from senior engineers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver quality solutions.
- Update and maintain existing software and database solutions as necessary.
What you will have
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of professional experience in a software development role.
- Proficiency in Python and a strong grasp of software development principles.
- Good to have Java and expertise in application frameworks (e.g.: Spring/ Springboot/JPA)
- Hands on Experience in GenAI product development, with a focus on RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) techniques and exposure building and integrating AI agents.
- Hands-on experience in LLMs (GPT-4, Claude, etc.)
- Exposure to TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, OpenAI APIs, and NLP libraries
- Experience developing and deploying AI applications including chatbots, virtual assistants and other NLP powered tools
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP (AWS Preferred)
- Experience with software development methodologies, such as Agile
- Knowledge of both relational (MySQL, MariaDB) and NoSQL/non-relational databases
- Experience in containerization with Docker and knowledge of container orchestration utilizing Kubernetes
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse and address complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Experience building cloud native applications, services-based architecture, DevOps principles and continuous deployment.
- Application of secure coding practices and methodologies.
- A passion for unit testing and consistently delivering high-quality code.
