Software Engineer

At Fidelis we are seeking a skilled and versatile C# / Go Developer to join our dynamic engineering team. This role focuses on building and optimizing backend systems with a strong emphasis on high availability, scalability, and performance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in C# or Go development, proficiency in OpenSearch, and a deep understanding of SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases, particularly in high-availability and scalability contexts.

Key Responsibilities

• Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using C# (.NET) or Java or Go
• Search Infrastructure: Integrate and optimize OpenSearch for efficient and scalable search functionalities.
• Performance Tuning: Analyze and optimize application and database performance to ensure low latency and high throughput.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and reliable systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field / experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in C# or Java or Go development.
• Strong experience with SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch.
• Proficiency in performance tuning and optimization techniques for both applications and databases.
• Experience with containerization (Docker or Podman)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
