Software Engineer

So, what’s the role all about?

Our full stack engineers are responsible for developing of APIs, integrations, UI, and processing of data within the Playvox by NICE platform. You will need to have experience in building solutions in cloud native environments using open-source technology Java, NodeJS, Angular.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality software, enjoys solving technical challenges, and brings curiosity and innovation to the team.

You will join a large local engineering team and work with an extended engineering team in other geo locations.

How will you make an impact?

• Develop engineering solutions collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, architects, and product owners, to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs using Java (Spring Boot preferred), NodeJS, Angular
• Contribute to the engineering practices and standards, and when needed participate in the adoption of new technologies.
• Ensure and contribute to engineering processes, best practices, and continuous improvement, aligned with Agile-Scrum methodology are followed. When required participate in the adoption of new technologies.
• Drive continuous improvement by staying current with industry trends, and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend practical improvements
• Maintain quality, ensure responsiveness, and help optimize new and existing systems.

Have you got what it takes?

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3 to 5 years of software development experience in developing high performance, highly available and scalable enterprise-grade software products that can perform, scale, and integrate into a broad enterprise ecosystem.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work on technical challenges.
• Has high-attention to details and works well in a dynamic and intense environment.
• Hands-on experience in: NodeJS and Java technology stack.
• Experience with Angular or Vue preferred.
• Experience in using Agentic AI tools – ClaudeCode, Copilot, etc.
• Good experience with public cloud infrastructures and technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Engine or Azure. Preferably Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Understanding of microservices architecture and/or event-driven systems.
• Experience in database development with SQL and MongoDB.
• Awareness of quality assurance practices within engineering using a shift left mindset.
• Experience with Open-Source Software (OSS) technology frameworks, platforms, and tools.
• Understanding of Secure SDLC implementation comprising of static code analysis, vulnerability and licensing scan, penetration testing, etc.

You will have an advantage if you also have:

• Knowledge of Serverless computing and/or Cloud-Native Development
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices for deployments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced engineering environment.
