Software Engineer

Clearance Required: Active Secret or higher
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team supporting critical Department of Defense (DoD) programs. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of professional experience developing in C++, with additional experience in Java and Linux environments preferred. This role requires an active Secret clearance or higher and offers the opportunity to work on challenging, mission-critical software solutions in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications in C++ to meet system requirements and performance objectives.
Contribute to software architecture, design reviews, and code reviews to ensure quality and maintainability.
Support software integration, debugging, and testing in Linux-based environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine software requirements.
Document software designs, technical specifications, and user guides.
Analyze and resolve software issues, implementing enhancements as needed.
Ensure software solutions are compliant with applicable DoD standards and security guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
Active Secret clearance or higher.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
At least 2 years of experience developing software in C++.
Experience with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and version control tools.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience developing software in Java.
Proficiency working in Linux/Unix environments.
Familiarity with DoD software development processes, secure coding practices, and classified environments.
Knowledge of real-time or embedded systems development is a plus.
Work Environment:
Primarily on-site in a secure facility.
May involve occasional overtime or extended hours to meet project deadlines.
