This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development and enhancement of a cloud-native, distributed database platform used by enterprises worldwide. The Software Engineer will work on building and maintaining scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend systems that enable seamless deployment and management of database clusters across cloud and on-premises environments. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product, frontend, QA, and DevOps, to deliver high-quality releases. The role emphasizes innovation in distributed systems, Kubernetes orchestration, and cloud infrastructure while promoting engineering best practices and mentorship. Accountabilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant components for managing distributed database clusters
Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to translate requirements into automated workflows
Work alongside frontend, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure timely, high-quality software releases
Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to engineering standards and best practices
Stay current with emerging technologies in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and Kubernetes ecosystems
Debug, optimize, and fine-tune system performance to maintain reliability and scalability
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of backend software development experience with strong proficiency in Java and Go
Solid understanding of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
Experience building large-scale, reliable, and high-performance systems
Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance-tuning skills
Collaborative mindset and experience working in cross-functional teams to deliver complex software projects
