Software Engineer, Intern

✨ What You’ll Do / Responsibilities

As a Software Intern, you will:

• Be paired with a mentor to learn how to build commercial software for real-time distributed systems that require extreme performance and scalability.
• Be treated as any other engineering team member, be part of a specific team, participate in trainings, attend weekly status meetings and company updates.
• Work on a variety of projects, such as:
  • Developing prototypes or validating new approaches, features, or techniques
  • Contributing to features or tests for RTI Connext products
• Experience what it's like to work at RTI.

🎯 What We’re Looking For

• At RTI, we work primarily in C/C++, We also work in Java/ C#/Python/Javascript and Lua. Apply for the internship if you love programming and want to learn about professional software engineering processes.
• Solid understanding of computer networking and operating systems. Docker and container technologies is a plus.
• Knowledge about Continuous Integration tools (jenkins, bamboo, travis).
• Last-year student in Computer Science or related master preferred.
• Candidates must be able to work at least half-time in 2026. Internships are about 6 months part-time in duration.
• You must be enrolled in the ICARO program in collaboration with the university.
