We’re hiring an engineer whose primary responsibility is finding bugs, fixing them directly in production code, and verifying the fix end-to-end.
This is not a reporting-only QA role.
If you find a bug, you own it until it’s fixed and verified.
You will not focus on building new features. Your impact is measured by product stability, reduced regressions, and faster bug resolution.
You Will Own
Actively explore and test the product without waiting for tickets
Identify bugs through exploratory testing, edge cases, and real usage
Reproduce issues locally or in staging
Debug frontend and/or backend production code
Fix bugs directly in the main codebase
Add regression tests for every meaningful fix
Verify fixes before and after deployment
Reduce recurring bugs and overall defect rate
What You Will Not Do
You will not only write test scripts
You will not hand off bugs to another engineer
You will not just “log tickets and wait”
Preferred Skills & Experience
Proven experience fixing bugs in production code
Comfortable debugging real systems (not just test environments)
Able to commit fixes directly (frontend, backend, or both)
Experience writing regression tests (unit, integration, or E2E)
Strong ownership mindset: find → fix → verify
If your past role involved only reporting bugs, this is not a fit.
Nice to Have
Startup or scale-up experience
Background as a full-stack or backend engineer
Experience working without a separate QA team
Familiarity with CI/CD and release validation

The last production bug you personally fixed
How you validate fixes and prevent regressions
We may include a short paid task involving:
Reproducing a bug
Fixing it
Adding a regression test
