Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and resolve customer-reported issues escalated from L2/Support teams with clear root cause analysis.

  • Perform production issue triage, debugging, and resolution with minimal turnaround time.

  • Analyze and fix performance, scalability, and reliability issues in production environments.

  • Identify root causes using logs, metrics, traces, and monitoring tools.

  • Develop, test, and deliver code fixes, patches, or configuration changes for production issues.

  • Work closely with Product, QA, DevOps, and Support teams to ensure smooth issue resolution and releases.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, RCA reports, and post-incident reviews.

  • Proactively identify system weaknesses and recommend improvements to prevent future incidents.

  • Support on-call rotations and handle critical production escalations when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 3–4 years of experience in software development or production support (L3 role preferred).

  • Strong hands-on experience in Java / Scala (or relevant backend language).

  • Experience debugging production issues in distributed systems.

  • Solid understanding of performance tuning, memory management, and multithreading.

  • Experience working with databases (SQL and NoSQL).

  • Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and observability tools (Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, etc.).

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently and take end-to-end ownership of issues.
