About the team

At Careem, the mission for the Next Generation of ML Ops Engineers is to help grow our new joint Engineering by learning how to write Clean Code, use SOLID principle techniques, and design reliable systems. Our Programme covers all the areas of Careem tech be it Cyber Security, Data, Machine Learning, Infrastructure, and all the Software Engineering tracks like Backend, Frontend as well as Mobile.

We are looking for prospective data scientists to join our team. If you are interested in end-to-end development of data science projects from idea to production service then this opportunity is definitely for you. Working with a senior team of talented data scientists you will accelerate your professional growth and will gain priceless experience.

What you'll need

• 2-4 years of experience
• The ideal candidate will have a passionate commitment to improving the lives of people, an insane focus on excellence and customer service, and a strong alignment with our core values: being bold, focused, agile and collaborative.

Must have:

• Strong knowledge of statistics,  probability theory, calculus, linear algebra, mathematical analysis, differential calculus
• Strong knowledge of Python programing language, SQL, algorithms and data structures
• Knowledge of the theory of Machine Learning algorithms
• Fluency in English along with excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Hands on experience of development and deployment of ML algorithms
• Portfolio of ML projects on GitHub
