Software Engineer - Financial Statements

At Phocas, we make complex financial data simple, fast, and accessible. For more than 20 years, we’ve helped businesses turn numbers into clarity. Now we’re scaling our Financial Statements product to serve even more finance teams around the world.

Financial Statements is going through a huge period of growth: we’re enhancing core product value while scaling to support more customers and increasing volumes of financial data. Our flexible financial reporting helps customers skip tedious ERP exports by giving them instant insights with reports they can slice, dice, and share across departments. As part of an empowered cross-functional product team, you’ll help shape how businesses model, analyse, and present their financial performance.

What will you work on?

You’ll design and build the core foundations that power financial reporting for thousands of users, including:

• Scaling multi-currency support: Enhancing our platform to handle more flexible and sophisticated multi-currency scenarios, including support for forecasting and scenario analysis.
• Migration to our new data platform: Contributing to our move towards a faster and more modular architecture that unlocks performance, flexibility, and a more intuitive experience for users.
• Serving the Office of the CFO: Building tools that speak the language of finance teams - precise, reliable, and designed for scale.

What skills do you need?

You’re a full stack engineer with a strong front end lean, ideally including:

• Experience building data-rich or calculation-heavy applications
• Strong skills in React/Typescript
• Familiarity with financial concepts or interest in learning how finance teams work

You’ll thrive in this role if you’re:

• Motivated by interesting technical challenges
• Comfortable contributing to architectural decisions and evolving workflows
• Curious, collaborative, and eager to learn how real finance teams operate
