We are looking for a Software Engineer – Microservices & ETLs to join our team of around 1,700 people worldwide to help us power up the traveller's journey for millions of holidaymakers.

The job in brief:

What your impact will be:

  • Modernize legacy processes: Gradually transition monolithic ETL workflows toward a microservices-based ecosystem, identifying opportunities to reduce technical debt.
  • Develop microservices: Design, write, and test high-quality software using practices such as TDD, DDD, Clean Code, and SOLID principles.
  • Support data infrastructure: Maintain and optimize existing ETL pipelines built with Talend 7/8, ensuring full business continuity through effective KLO (Keep-the-Lights-On) activities.
  • Automate Finance operations: Collaborate closely with Finance stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver solutions that automate manual or recurring processes.

Your expertise:

  • 1+ years of experience in software development, with hands-on experience using an OO/FP language — preferably Java or Kotlin
  • Understanding of microservices architecture, REST API design patterns, and backend development
  • Solid SQL skills and previous experience working with relational databases (MySQL, Vertica, PostgreSQL, or similar)
  • Previous experience with ETL tools or data integration platforms (Talend, Informatica, SSIS, or similar)
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, multilingual environment, translating business requirements into technical solutions and sharing knowledge with peers

 

Desirable:

  • Background in financial systems, e-commerce, or the travel industry
  • Experience specifically with Talend 7 or Talend 8
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Experience using Git and version control workflows
  • Previous experience with Clean Code, SOLID principles, and an Agile mindset
  • Experience working with the Spring/Spring Boot ecosystem
