We’re seeking a seasoned Data Engineer 2 within our Data Engineering team out of Bengaluru You’ll design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions that power analytics, reporting, and machine learning workflows. This role spans data warehousing, streaming, cloud platforms, and operational excellence—ensuring performance, reliability, security, and timely delivery.

Requirements

• 3+ years in data engineering or software development with a strong data focus.
• Hands-on expertise with cloud data services (Azure Data Lake, AWS Redshift, GCP Big Query).
• Experience on Snowflake, Redshift, Azure Synapse Analytics, OLAP/OLTP, and Timeseries DB platforms.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and distributed computing frameworks (Spark, Flink).
• Experience building and managing streaming pipelines with Kafka, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub.
• Solid understanding of data security principles, encryption standards, and access control.
• Familiarity with ML Ops tools and workflows (ML Flow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, Vertex AI).
• Demonstrated ability to implement observability practices—logging, metrics, and tracing.
• Proven track record of optimizing for scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Comfortable with agile processes and rotating on-call duty.

What will you do

• Build and manage data ingestion pipelines for batch (Airflow, Data Factory) and real-time streaming (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub).
• Architect and optimize data warehousing solutions on Snowflake, Redshift, Azure Synapse Analytics, OLAP/OLTP systems, and Timeseries DB.
• Implement data segregation, cleanup, de-duplication, persistence, and lifecycle management best practices.
• Define and enforce data organization, modeling, and exposure standards for BI, analytics, and ML Ops.
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to apply encryption, access controls, and governance policies.
• Integrate logging, metrics, observability, and distributed tracing (Prometheus, Grafana, Open Telemetry, ELK) across data platforms.
• Monitor and tune systems for scalability, performance, and reliability under high-volume workloads.
• Participate in agile ceremonies to deliver features and improvements on time.
• Share on-call rotations, troubleshoot incidents, and drive root-cause analysis to minimize service disruptions.
