Core Infrastructure builds and operates reliable, scalable, and repeatable infrastructure for DoorDash engineers to ship software quickly and reliably.
The Cloud team within Core Infrastructure is responsible for our internal self-serve infrastructure platform. Today our platform supports creating and managing services, as well as various cloud primitives defined by the team. The team works directly with product and infrastructure teams at DoorDash to ensure our services can be deployed and operated at scale and improve upon the capabilities of our self-serve platform. Lastly, the team is responsible for Cloud Governance for all our production environments.
We are hiring a Software Engineer for Cloud, who will contribute to improving our self-serve platform. This role entails both integrating AWS cloud services, tailored to our unique needs, as well as collaborating with our core platform and infrastructure teams to provide simple abstractions to the wider engineering org. This will include anything from Envoy configuration and S3 to Kafka topics. Your focus will be ensuring we get these abstractions right and that engineers can self-serve in a manner that improves engineering velocity, reliability, and efficiency. Our aim is to be the entry point for all things that pertain to a service. You will also work closely with product teams to continually improve our user experience and prioritize new features to be added to the platform. You will report to the Engineering Manager of Cloud in our Core Infrastructure group.
