Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable, resilient backend microservices.
Build high-throughput APIs using REST and gRPC.
Implement event-driven workflows with Kafka for high-volume data processing.
Own end-to-end integrations with suppliers, carriers, and marketplace partners.
Design relational and NoSQL data models; optimize queries and performance.
Identify bottlenecks and improve scalability, reliability, and throughput.
Implement observability (logs, metrics, traces) and collaborate with DevOps on deployments.
Write clean, well-tested code; participate in reviews and mentor peers.
Document APIs, workflows, and architectural decisions.
Apply AI-first development workflows to accelerate delivery and improve design quality.

Requirements

Strong engineering fundamentals: concurrency, design patterns, distributed systems.
Experience designing backend services and APIs in Java/Spring Boot or similar stacks.
Ability to bridge business strategy and technical execution (consultant mindset).
Comfort leveraging AI tools to assist development and architectural thinking.
Fluent English communication, including leading technical discussions with partners.

Nice to Have

Experience with Java 21, AWS/EKS, Docker, or Kubernetes.
Exposure to high-volume data pipelines or event-driven sagas.
