Software Engineer - Accounting

The Accounting, Cost & Fees EU team, part of the Banking Core Domain, is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Software Engineer to join our innovative team in Berlin, Germany. • Design, develop, and implement robust accounting software modules and features
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for accounting systems
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using best practices and design patterns
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and documentation
• Optimize existing accounting software for performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner
• Stay up-to-date with the latest accounting regulations and ensure software compliance with relevant standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS)
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and methodologies
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members
• Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality software deliverables

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a Software Developer, preferably in financial or accounting software development
• Developing in PL/SQL for the backend
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
• Eagerness to learn and understand complex business concepts in the financial domain
• Experience in banking software development is a plus

It would be a real bonus if you have:

• ACCP certification
• Experience in working with Agile methodologies
