In This Role

You will be part of a software engineering team responsible for enhancing and maintaining a production‑grade Windows scanning application used by customers worldwide. This role focuses on designing, developing, and delivering new features and reliability improvements for a UWP‑based Windows application. You’ll collaborate closely with product, program, and quality partners to ensure high‑quality, on‑time releases while contributing to code reviews, debugging efforts, and overall product stability.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement new features and enhancements for a Windows/UWP scanning application
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well‑tested C++ and C# code
  • Diagnose, debug, and resolve defects to improve application reliability and performance
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Program Managers, and QA partners to ensure requirements are fully understood and correctly implemented
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain high engineering standards and shared best practices
  • Investigate complex technical issues reported from testing or post‑release scenarios
  • Support build, test, validation, and release activities to ensure production readiness
  • Contribute to technical documentation and release readiness materials
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 2–4 years of professional software development experience
  • 3+ years of experience developing Windows or UWP applications
  • 3+ years of experience with C++
  • 3+ years of experience with C# and XAML (or equivalent Windows application technologies)
  • At least 2 years of hands‑on experience with debugging, bug fixing, and code maintenance
  • Experience working on and supporting shipped, customer‑facing software products
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative development environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working on scanning, printing, or device‑related Windows applications
  • Familiarity with UWP application lifecycle, performance optimization, and reliability improvements
  • Experience collaborating with cross‑functional partners across product, program management, and quality teams
  • Exposure to build systems, automated testing, and release pipelines for Windows applications
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly document technical decisions and solutions

Salary Range 

At Blueprint, we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographic market. For candidates based in Washington State, the anticipated salary range is $90,000 to $100,000 USD annually. Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity. The final salary and job title may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications and could fall outside the stated range.
