As a Firmware Validation Engineer, you will validate firmware functionality at the component, subsystem and system level, ensuring features operate reliably within the broader vehicle platform. Through close collaboration with firmware developers, systems engineers, and cross-functional teams, you will help deliver robust and reliable embedded features to production In this role, you will:
  • Develop comprehensive test plans based on requirements and design
  • Develop and implement automated tests on complex embedded systems
  • Collaborate with system, firmware & hardware engineers to ensure implementations meet requirements and desired functionality in accordance with product requirements.
  • Manage test suites across multiple CI framework
  • Develop new firmware tests/review and refine existing firmware tests
  • Qualifications
  • BS in relevant engineering discipline
  • 3+ Years of relevant experience
  • Experience developing/testing embedded firmware
  • Object-oriented programming experience (Python preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with wireless test platforms (e.g. Keysight, Rohde & Schwarz) or testing modem prototypes.
  • Bonus Qualifications
  • Ability to use network analysis tools (e.g. QXDM, Wireshark) and analyze communication behavior.
  • Experience in 3GPP 4G-LTE / 5G-NR network architecture, WiFi, Ethernet standards (IEEE 802.1AS, 802.11), and IP network protocols.
  • Experience with Wi-Fi, PHY designs, and coexistence between Wi-Fi, Cellular and GNSS.
