What's exciting about the role

This is a unique opportunity to work on mission-critical systems at the heart of Verifone’s payment infrastructure. As a key developer of Payware CMS, you'll contribute to high-impact projects that support millions of transactions globally. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, tackle complex technical challenges, and help shape the future of electronic payments. 

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a key developer for the batch module of Payware CMS.
• Develop and implement new software requirements based on business and technical specifications.
• Provide ongoing support for production issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact.
• Collaborate with QA, product, and support teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation efforts.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in software quality and performance.

Skills and Experience we desire

• Proficiency in COBOL
• Experience with UNIX/Linux
• SQL expertise
• Familiarity with Oracle and PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git for source code management
• Experience with parallel processing
• Experience in electronic payments

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)
• Minimum of 3–4 years of experience in a similar software development role
• Intermediate English proficiency (technical reading and documentation)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
