Software Developer - Salesforce

Customized Energy Solutions is seeking a Software Developer (with 3- 5 years of experience) to join our cross-disciplinary team, building the next generation of technology and innovation within the energy sector. This role will utilize analytical, design, and development skills to develop custom solutions, interfaces, and interfaces on top of the Salesforce platform.

Key Responsibilities

•  Design, develop, and customize Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
• Integrate Salesforce with external systems using REST, SOAP, Bulk API, and Metadata API.
• Build automation using Lightning Flows and other Salesforce platform tools.
• Design, develop, and deploy AI agents using Salesforce Agent Builder to automate business processes and improve user experience.
• Create and customize AI actions using Apex, Flows, and Prompt Templates to extend Agentforce capabilities.
• Use Prompt Builder to develop, test, and manage reusable AI prompt templates.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure quality and reliability.
• Translate business and functional requirements into technical designs, deciding when to use configuration vs custom development.
• Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and other developers to deliver solutions on time.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–4 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
• Strong experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and Salesforce data model.
• Experience integrating Salesforce using REST, SOAP, and other Salesforce APIs.
• Working knowledge of Salesforce DX, Git, and Jira.
• Understanding database concepts and experience with SQL.
• Ability to convert functional requirements into technical solutions.
• Salesforce Platform Developer I (PD1) certification.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional Salesforce certifications such as Administrator, Platform Developer II (PD2), Advanced Administrator, or App Builder.
• Experience with web and application development technologies including JavaScript, Python, .NET, SQL, HTML5, CSS, AJAX, and JSON.
