Are you ready to shape the future of industrial robotic systems?
Mujin is transforming how industrial robots perceive, plan, and execute work by bringing real-time intelligence to the factory floor through MujinOS, our hardware-agnostic, software-defined automation platform.
We are seeking a talented Robotics Software Engineer (3D Bin-Packing & Optimization) to join our European engineering team and contribute to next-generation logistics automation solutions. In this role, you will develop advanced spatial and packing algorithms that feed directly into MujinOS-powered robotic systems — enabling optimal container and bin utilization, smarter loading/unloading, and efficient warehouse workflows.
Position: Software Deployment Engineer
As Software Deployment Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying, configuring and optimizing MujinController software systems for our advanced autonomous industrial solutions. You will work closely with our development, QA, and field operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of software solutions both remote and onsite support. This role requires a combination of engineering knowledge, problem solving, curiosity, innovation, leadership, and communication.
Responsibilities
Deploy and configure software systems on autonomous industrial robotics solutions, ensuring configurations meet operational requirements, performance standards and statistics collection.
Drive the installation and configuration of the Mujin controller and associated equipment at customer sites, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems and troubleshooting any compatibility or connectivity issues.
Provide expert support for systems deployed at customer sites, ensuring smooth operation and addressing any technical issues that may arise promptly and effectively.
Contribute to the knowledge base sharing best practices for deployment, configurations and troubleshooting and documentation
Identify and implement optimization strategies by monitoring and analyzing deployed solutions
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering or related fields
Demonstrate a minimum of 3+ years of experience in software deployment, system integration with a focus on robotics, material handling, or autonomous systems
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, deployment processes, and PLC integration, with the ability to understand and analyze codes and logs created by others.
Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting
Hands-on experience with robot deployment (e.g., Yaskawa, Fanuc, ABB) and vision systems (e.g., Photoneo, Keyence).
A go-getter mindset; enthusiastic about robotics and it’s potential to solve various customer problems
A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel (up to 40% of your time at customer sites).
English speaking is a must
