Position Overview/Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Software Architect with a Top Secret clearance (SCI eligible) to support the onsite integration of big data platforms for the United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) as part of a large integration and modernization effort for their Unified Platform (UP). UP is the single unifying cloud-based infrastructure connecting disparate cyber capabilities within the JCWA to enable full-spectrum cyberspace operations.

This role will involve the development of software architecture with best practices in order to efficiently address current and future requirements. This will include producing business value justifications for approaches and explaining them to technical and non technical audiences.

Requirements:

• Ability to design and implement best practices and standards in software development such as readability, code coverage, code smells, identification of appropriate technologies that are approved for DoD environments
• Ability to identify and address bottlenecks and proactive improvements in current software delivery
• Ability to identify and address cybersecurity strategies and issues for software development
• Ability to effectively communicate engineering best practices to a variety of audiences

Skills/Qualifications:

• Active Top Secret Clearance
• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or technical degree or industry experience equivalent
• 8 years of minimum total relevant experience as Software or Systems Engineer (minimum 3 years specifically as an Architect)
• Have previously architected a large scale distributed platform
• Must have at least one of the following certifications:

• Security+ CE
• CND
• SSCP
• CASP+ CE
• CCNP Security
• CISA
• CISSP (or Associate)
• GCED
• GCIH
• CSSLP
