Social Media Resident

Gallery Media Group includes women’s lifestyle brand PureWow and a collection of social-first media brands, such as @cocktails and @ballplayers on Instagram and TikTok that reach over 200M consumers. Additionally, GMG has an expansive experiential arm rooted in Gallery Houses—a fusion of social content, creators and cultural moments at scale—as well as a robust influencer marketing business.

The company was founded in 2010 by CEO, Ryan Harwood and is now part of VaynerX, the Gary Vaynerchuk-owned holding company.

Gallery Media Group is looking for a social media resident to join its Growth team for a three month, fixed term residency position. 

The ideal candidate will be looking to kick start a career in social media marketing and/or digital publishing. You will have a strong understanding of what performs on TikTok and Instagram, copywriting skills that you can apply to effective community management, and the ability to ideate and create short form video content. 

Collaboration, creativity and attention to detail are key characteristics that will help the individual thrive in this environment.

Responsibilities:

• You will be ideate and create video content for our social handles as needed
• Daily social media management and posting
• Ongoing community management across social platforms and handles
• You will monitor the success of content and ideate on ways to improve and optimize performance

Skills and experience:

• A strong understanding of TikTok and Instagram
• Video editing and photoshop proficiency is required 
• You are reliable, motivated, self-sufficient, and a fast worker
• Creative thinking and tons of ideas and a finger on the pulse of culture
• You have proven experience with digital storytelling (either on your own handles or elsewhere)  
• Relevant internship experience or education is preferred, but not required

Base pay: $20 an hour
