The Social Media Manager is a key position on the Communications team, working closely with the Vice President of Communications and the Growth team to shape the firm’s brand reputation, execute strategies to amplify the Aprio story, and ensure effective and impactful communication both internally and externally. This role will place a strong emphasis on social media community management to support our team members, clients, prospects, and business partners. This role will be responsible for supporting both proactive and reactive responses, social strategy, and content creation for designated channels. The successful candidate will be a social media expert, adept in applying the latest best practices in social media content creation and consumer engagement across a broad spectrum of social media platforms This is a hybrid role based in Atlanta, Georgia. Position Responsibilities:
  • Content Creation: Collaborating with the creative team to produce high-quality, engaging content tailored to each social media platform. Ensuring content aligns with the overall brand strategy, maintaining the brand voice, style, and messaging across all communication channels, and engages target audiences.
  • Community Management: Building and nurturing online communities by engaging with followers, responding to comments and messages, and fostering a positive brand image.
  • Social Media: Staying up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices. Experimenting with new formats and technologies to keep the brand’s social media presence fresh and innovative, while also serving as an advocate for new ideas and approaches.
  • Use of Social Media Tools: Utilizing social media management tools to support community management, and analyze performance. Leveraging analytics tools to gain insights and optimize strategies.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Utilizing social media analytics tools to track campaign performance, generate insights, and report on key metrics. Making data-driven decisions to improve future campaigns.
  • Employee Advocacy: Manage employee advocacy software to facilitate social sharing of firm content.
  • Skills:
  • Writing and Editing: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience crafting messaging for senior leadership and prepping leaders for speaking engagements and presentations. Ability to develop strategic messaging guides for ‘on strategy’ corporate communications.
  • Social Media Expertise: Proven experience in managing social media platforms, creating engaging content, and analyzing social media metrics to inform strategy.
  • Social Media Campaigns: Expertise in planning, executing, and optimizing social media campaigns. Ability to set objectives, develop strategies, and measure performance through analytics.
  • Innovation in Social Media: Ability to stay ahead of social media trends and implement innovative strategies to enhance the brand’s online presence.
  • Use of Social Media Tools: Proficiency in using social media management and analytics tools to streamline processes and gain actionable insights.
  • Digital Communication: Familiarity with email campaigns and other digital channels.
  • Issues Management: Ability to handle sensitive situations and communicate effectively and with discretion during crises.
  • Change Management: Understanding of change management principles and experience communicating and supporting change initiatives.
  • Project Management: Organizational skills for coordinating multi-channel campaigns and events. Detail-oriented, organized, and solutions-obsessed with effective time management skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Collaboration, empathy, active listening, and decision-making. Ability to ‘flex’ work style to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment that may include tense situations, handling quick turnarounds, as well as prioritizing ongoing assignments in a team structure and as an individual contributor. High degree of intellectual curiosity and ability to absorb new concepts quickly.
  • Solutioning Skills: Outstanding problem-solving and talent for conducting research, analyzing and finding patterns in data, developing solutions, and pulling together the right people and resources for implementation.
  • Strategic Communications: Experience in strategy development and creative program support for national and global programs and initiatives
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally within the organization to ensure necessary governance is established to run social media programs and mitigate any undue reputational risk
  • Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in communications, with a significant focus on social media management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
  • Relevant work experience in strategic communications, social media community management, public relations, or media relations is essential. Previous roles in corporate communications, agencies, or professional services organizations are a plus and experience working with cross-functional teams and external partners in a matrix environment.
