The Social Media Intern will work with our marketing and content teams to plan, develop, and launch engaging Catholic content across our social media channels. This role involves storytelling, community engagement, and managing digital assets with a combination of creativity and tenacity.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the creation and scheduling of daily content (text, image, and short-form video) across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
  • Monitor social media channels and engage with the community to foster meaningful conversations.
  • Work under the direction of the Social Media & Communications Manager to ensure all assets are approved and delivered in a timely manner
  • Perform research on social media trends and audience preferences to inform future content strategies.
  • Collaborate with the internal team and Catholic creators to ensure brand consistency and mission alignment. 
  • Create reports to evaluate performance of content
  • Other related duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Open to all majors
  • Exceptional writing skills and a keen eye for visual aesthetics are essential.
  • Basic proficiency with graphic design and video editing software (preferably Adobe Photoshop) 
  • Familiarity with social media management tools and current digital trends. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • A general understanding of Catholic beliefs and practices, including a familiarity with traditional and contemporary Catholic theological terms
