The Social Media Creator & Manager will lead Selkirk Sport’s social media strategy across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Xiao Hong Shu and LinkedIn, with a primary focus on Malaysia while supporting broader Asia initiatives. This role combines content creation, community management, and performance analytics to grow our audience, boost engagement and convert followers into customers.
The ideal candidate is a visual storyteller, a data-driven marketer and a social media-savvy professional with a passion for sports, trends, and digital engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Strategy
- Develop and execute a monthly social media content calendar tailored to Malaysia, Philippines and Vietnam.
- Produce high-quality, engaging content (videos, graphics, Reels, Stories, live streams) that aligns with Selkirk’s brand identity.
- Shoot and edit short-form videos (TikTok/Reels), photos and graphics optimized for each platform.
- Collaborate with athletes, influencers, and local ambassadors for user-generated content (UGC) and partnerships.
Community & Engagement
- Act as the voice of Selkirk Sport in Asia, responding to comments, DMs and fostering authentic conversations.
- Grow local online communities by engaging with pickleball players, clubs and sports enthusiasts.
- Identify and leverage trends, hashtags and challenges relevant to the Asian market.
Performance & Growth
- Monitor and analyze social media metrics (reach, engagement, conversions) to refine strategies.
- Run paid social campaigns (Meta Ads, TikTok Ads) in collaboration with the marketing team.
- Stay ahead of platform updates, algorithm changes and best practices in social media marketing.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with marketing, design and sales teams to align social efforts with broader campaigns.
- Provide monthly performance reports with actionable insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing (preferably in sports, fitness, or lifestyle brands).
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese, Tagalog or Vietnamese is a plus.
- Strong visual storytelling skills - experience with video editing (CapCut, Premiere Pro), graphic design (Canva, Photoshop) and content creation tools.
- Data-driven mindset - comfortable with Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics, Google Analytics.
- Creative, proactive, and adaptable - able to pivot strategies based on trends and performance.
- Passion for pickleball or racquet sports is a big plus!
