Social Media Coordinator

Collaborate with the Editorial and Creative Teams to create engaging social media content across platforms like WeChat and Douyin, maintaining a consistent video presence.

Its devotion to discovery has made it one of the premier online destinations for fashion and lifestyle editorial and news. Currently operating in over 15 markets, readers can stay up to date with the latest culturally-relevant news and developments on men’s fashion. The Social Media Coordinator will sit within our Editorial Team and work closely with our Creative Team to build compelling social content across various social media channels, such as WeChat, Rednote, Douyin, etc. Responsibilities:
  • Help maintain a steady stream of editorial video content
  • Ability to shoot, edit, write, and complete post production independently
  • Own the scheduling and publishing of the social content end-to-end
  • Research video content around the hottest products, fashion news, interviews, community happenings and events, city hotspots, etc.,
  • Provide on-the-ground support for editorial projects and IPs, including community coordination, content capture and event logistics
  • Work closely with the Creative Team, the Editorial Team and the Sales Team on the execution of social video content
  • Requirements:
  • Proficiency in video editing software tools (e.g. Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Must be fluent in Chinese; Proficiency in English is a plus
  • Passionate about youth culture, fashion, music, art, lifestyle, and other verticals covered by Hypebeast
  • A team-player able to work independently and multi-task under tight schedules in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with lighting and shooting with DSLRs and other HD cameras
  • Must be familiar with online and social media tools (Instagram, Rednote, Douyin, Wechat Channel etc)
  • Self-motivated, creative, well-organized
  • Proactive and willing to learn with a positive attitude
  • Ability and willingness to travel when required
