Social Content Editor

About the Role:

We’re looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Social Content Editor to join our team. You’ll play a critical role in shaping and maintaining our digital presence across platforms like YouTube, Twitch, Twitter (X), and more. This role is perfect for a self-starter with a passion for video production, social media strategy, and esports.

Responsibilities:

Short Form Videos:

  • Produce and upload daily short-form videos, including highlights, teasers, clips, memes, and more
  • Optimise video titles, descriptions, and metadata for maximum reach and engagement

Long Form Content:

  • Upload and prepare long-form content for YouTube, ensuring high-quality thumbnails, metadata, and descriptions
  • Adapt LFC for YouTube (e.g., create intros, manage end screens)
  • Create engaging teaser content for X/Twitter promotion
  • Collaborate and plan with the content team to produce multi-use long-form content that engages our audience and help build a brand story for our live events

YouTube Management:

  • Oversee general maintenance and community engagement for @BLASTPremier and @BLASTPremierHighlights
  • Coordinate with external partners to ensure seamless video production and uploads
  • Manage the creation of new channels across platforms like YouTube, Twitch, and Kick
  • Regularly update channel graphics and collaborate with our creative team on social asset packages

Event Content Production:

  • Prepare and produce content during media days, including highlight clips and daily short-form videos
  • Ensure highlight clips are produced and uploaded promptly to capitalise on event hype
  • Set up and manage daily event livestreams on YouTube, including test streams, metadata updates, and stream keys coordination with Broadcast teams
  • Update Twitch/Kick stream information in collaboration with relevant teams

General Content Operations:

  • Collaborate with Production to deliver Plays of the Day (POTD) clips to freelancers
  • Update Twitch tiles and step in for live coverage when necessary

Analytics & Reporting:

  • Generate and analyse performance reports across YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok to inform strategy

Requirements

  • Proven experience in video production, editing, and uploading across digital platforms
  • Strong understanding of metadata optimisation (titles, tags, descriptions) for YouTube and other platforms
  • Familiarity with livestream setups, stream keys, and real-time content management.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for esports and gaming content is highly desirable
  • Proficiency with tools like Slack, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets), and editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects)
  • Happy to travel to multiple events worldwide
