SMT Assembly Technician

TLDR

As an SMT Assembly Technician, you'll use robotic machines to assemble electronic sub-assemblies and contribute to quality data collection for continuous improvement.

In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, inspecting and processing surface mount (SMT) electronic sub-assemblies using robotic machines.

What you’ll do:

  • Tend machines by quickly and efficiently loading/replenishing feeders with reels of components, entering programs into automated placement machinery, setting up support fixtures, and prepping
  • Position, align, and hand-place components on PCBs when required.
  • Collect quality data which is essential for continuous improvement and tracking of factory deliverables
  • Understand and execute tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Problem solve and troubleshoot issues.
  • Responsible for timely maintenance of the machine according to maintenance schedule.
  • Inspect and log failed units
  • Operate automated optical inspection machine as needed.

Requirements

What you'll bring:

  • Preferred 2+ years' experience in manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements: (daily)

  • Ability to lift 10 lbs daily, 50 lbs weekly 
  • Ability to  bend , stand, walk and/or sit for majority of 8 hour shift
