SME Data Warehouse Specialist/Reporting Specialist -- Data Bricks

Project Background:

Provide the client with enterprise Business Intelligence reporting. We utilize data from the Oracle system combined with data from other applications, examples Travel Management / Direct Access (employee information), and files / crosswalks to create dashboards, reports, and data extracts.

Position Description:

This role will provide use of the Data Bricks enterprise Business Intelligence reporting tool. This will include hands-on functional development of dashboards, visualizations, reports, and extracts within the Data Bricks tool encompassing the complete Report Development Life Cycle (RDLC) of requirements, design, development, testing, implementation, and operations & maintenance.

 Tasks/Responsibilities:

• Create dashboards, visualizations, report, and data extracts using Data Bricks
• Report Development Life Cycle (RDLC)
  • Working individually and as part of the team with the client staff to gather and finalize requirements
  • Working individually and as part of the team in dashboards, visualizations, reports and data extracts designs
  • Working individually and as part of the team in dashboards, visualizations, reports and data extracts development
  • Working individually and as part of the team in dashboards, visualizations, reports and data extracts testing and validation
  • Working individually and as part of the team in dashboards, visualizations, reports and data extracts operations & maintenance
• Create Functional Design Documents (FDDs)
• Create Technical Design Documents (TDDs)
• Lead and assist in providing training and demonstrations
• Support user base
• Review / Update documentation
• Internal team cross-review
• Status tracking

Required Skills:

• US Citizenship Required / Background Investigation required to attain favorable entry on duty (EOD) 
•  BS Degree
• 2-5 years of experience (within the last 7 years) working Federal Financials within a Federal Agency
• Data Bricks experience (must have)
• Experience with big data
• Excellent writing skills – ability to write professional quality documents
• Excellent oral communications skills and the ability to make a positive contribution in meetings

Desired Skills:

•  Data Bricks coding – including Artificial Intelligence
• Experience of performing reporting tasks for full-lifecycle Federal reporting project that is of similar size and scope
