Pinterest’s Small & Medium Business team connects small and medium businesses with their customers and helps them grow.  We’re looking for an experienced leader to oversee all aspects of our initial launch and expansion into Japan. The SMB Sales Manager will help drive our go-to-market strategy, building sales programs and processes that will impact thousands of small business customers across Japan. Success in this position requires a strong ability to lead and inspire a team, sales, and analytical skills to make data-driven decisions, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a highly dynamic team environment. 

 

What you’ll do: 

  • Lead a high-performing team of Partner Managers and Account Managers to deliver against quarterly revenue targets 
  • Develop and deploy sales programs that drive results for Pinterest advertisers/agencies
  • Define the operations sales strategy by developing and standardizing operations systems to empower the team to operate at scale
  • Achieve revenue targets through effective planning, setting sales goals, analyzing data on past performance, and projecting future performance
  • Implement processes and strategies to scale SMB programs and revenue across a diverse set of customers
  • Clearly, communicate the progress of weekly/monthly/quarterly initiatives to stakeholders across time zones
  • Motivate and develop sales talent, creating a positive culture of accountability
  • Work cross-functionally and build cohesive partnerships with internal stakeholders including product, sales operations, and marketing
  • Manage relationship with Pinterest’s vendor partner

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in digital media sales, online advertising, or sales leadership
  • A data-driven leader with the ability to lead large teams against aggressive goals 
  • Demonstrated track record of leading and inspiring others
  • Experience in process management, operations management, understanding how to grow and scale businesses
  • Ability to extract insights from data to inform strategic decisions and translate to an action plan
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
  • Experience working with outsourced vendors is a plus
  • Fluent in Salesforce, Tableau, Excel, and other sales productivity software
  • Fluent in Japanese and English

 

This is a 12 months fixed term contract position.

This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
