Skills and Performance Lead

Reports to: Head of Organisational Development

Location: Hybrid (London office 2 days per week)

We’re seeking a passionate and strategic Skills and Performance Lead to join our dynamic team and drive growth, learning, and development across our organization.


What you’ll be doing

As the Skills and Performance Lead, you will design, implement, and manage programmes that enable our employees to unlock their potential and grow their careers. You’ll champion a culture of continuous learning and development, ensuring our workforce is equipped to meet the challenges of a fast-paced tech environment. You’ll be confident in leading and developing programmes at scale that demonstrate real impact. You’ll know how to land your initiatives in a way that meets the organisation where they’re at; you’ll be creative in the way you communicate these initiatives and not necessarily constrained to well-trodden paths.

 

Key Responsibilities

Learning & Development (10% of role)

  • Design and deliver scalable learning programs, workshops, and training tailored to individual, team, and organisational needs.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create and curate engaging learning content inclusive of e-learning.
  • Foster a culture of lifelong learning by driving awareness of development opportunities across the organization including online learning.

Performance Enablement (30% of role)

  • Partner with leadership to enhance our performance management framework, Healthy High Performance Way.
  • Lead and conduct the overall performance process – Comms, system optimisation, process execution.
  • Provide coaching to managers to help them effectively develop and guide their teams.
  • Support relevant talent cycles including succession planning and talent reviews

Talent and Skills Development (50% of role)

  • Build career progression frameworks and pathways tailored to the needs of a growing tech workforce.
  • Lead initiatives for high-potential employee development, such as mentoring programs or high potential programmes. You’ll be comfortable designing and delivering these even without the support of 3rd parties.
  • Build skills programmes that allow our Rightmovers to fulfil their potential and be future ready including AI skills development, apprenticeships, early career talent development, re skilling pathways, leadership development programmes.
  • Consult with and recommend new ways of working across our divisions to help them optimise their ways of working.

Culture & Engagement (10% of role)

  • Collaborate with the People team to align learning and development initiatives with company values and DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) goals.
  • Develop strategies to measure and improve employee engagement through developmental opportunities.

 

Who you are

  • A strategic L&D and performance professional who can design, implement, and scale impactful programmes that drive growth and unlock potential across the organisation.
  • Confident and influential partner to leaders and managers, using a consultative, data-informed approach to diagnose needs and embed performance, coaching, and development frameworks, guided by internal insights and external best practices.
  • Creative and adaptable, able to land initiatives in ways that resonate with diverse teams and meet the organisation where it is—balancing innovative approaches with practical execution.
  • Experienced in career and skills development, with a proven ability to create pathways, frameworks, and programmes for high-potential talent, leadership, and technical skill growth.
  • Passionate about continuous learning, fostering a culture where employees feel empowered to develop and future-proof their skills.
  • Data-informed and outcome-driven, able to measure the impact of learning, performance, and talent initiatives to demonstrate real organisational value.
  • Collaborative and inclusive, ensuring programmes align with company values, DEI goals, and employee engagement priorities.
  • Comfortable leading at scale, capable of managing multiple initiatives, programmes, and stakeholders simultaneously without losing sight of quality or impact.
