Our Innovation team incubates new initiatives, running autonomously ahead of delivery teams to prototype and validate end-to-end solutions before productization.
Role
Enable Innovation’s rapid prototyping cycles by automating prototype environments, managing demo deployments, and validating platform constraints early. You’ll provision sandboxes quickly, ensure prototypes are deployable, and prepare infrastructure handoff packages for productization teams.
What you'll do
- Automate prototype environment provisioning and teardown (Kubernetes, GitOps, Pulumi/Terraform) to support fast discovery cycles.
- Manage demo deployments showcasing new initiatives with reliability and observability while maintaining rapid iteration.
- Validate air-gapped, on-prem, and cloud constraints early so prototypes are adoptable by productization teams.
- Build observability for prototypes (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana) with lightweight SLOs to support validation.
- Create infrastructure handoff packages: deployment specs, Helm charts, and runbooks that enable smooth productization.
- Collaborate with Platform team to align prototypes with standards while meeting Innovation’s faster iteration needs.
About you
- 4+ years SRE/Platform engineering with Kubernetes/GitOps in production.
- Experienced with rapid environment provisioning, ephemeral deployments, and infrastructure automation.
- Comfortable validating deployability constraints (air-gapped, on-prem) early in development cycles.
- Strong technical writing: clear deployment specs and handoff artifacts that reduce adoption friction.
- Eligible to work in Germany; EU/NATO citizenship preferred.
Nice‑to‑haves
- German language (B1+), BSI/ISO compliance experience, supply chain security tooling (Cosign, Kyverno).
- Experience with prototype/R&D environments, demo automation, or infrastructure handoff processes.
