Job Description

As our Site Electrician / Maintenance Electrician, you will be an integral member of our rapidly expanding Operations team, responsible for ensuring the optimal function of our Sydney production facility. Your role will involve providing essential day to day maintenance support, thereby ensuring the seamless operation of our production lines and the continued timely delivery of fresh meals to our valued customers.

This role is based in our Eastern Creek Distribution Centre in Sydney and reports to the Maintenance Manager..

You will…

  • Carry out essential electrical plant checks and readings on critical site equipment.
  • Continuously monitor production lines to identify, suggest, and implement performance improvements.
  • Oversee and maintain electrical and mechanical systems for key machinery, including refrigeration plants, thermoforming and dosing equipment, and high-speed roller doors.
  • Manage the troubleshooting of our automated systems, such as box sorting conveyors, carton sealing machines, and dock levellers.
  • Conduct regular machine inspections, perform necessary repairs, and execute preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure the general maintenance and electrical reliability of both the warehouse and office environments including lighting, general power, and Test & Tag compliance.
  • Maintain access control systems, turnstiles, and facility lighting to ensure a safe and secure site.

You have…

  • At least 3+ years of experience as a Site Electrician or Maintenance Electrician.
  • Formal Electrical Trade Qualification with current Electrical Licence is a must
  • Solid experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using a wide range of power tools for mechanical and electrical repairs.
  • The physical capability to work comfortably in a refrigerated environment (approx. 3°C).
  • Previous experience within the food industry (this is a bonus, but not essential).

Start Date: Immediately available - Can wait a notice period

Duration: Permanent full time role

Hours: Monday - Friday (8am - 4pm) or Tuesday - Friday (8am-4pm) + Saturday (6am-2pm)
