Shunter/Yard Driver

As a Shunter/Yard Driver, you'll be responsible for moving trailers efficiently and safely between our trailer parking and warehouse gates. You'll ensure that every trailer is positioned at the right place at the right time, helping our logistics team keep operations running like clockwork.

Your responsibilities:

• Trailer Movement: Drive trucks between the trailer parking and our warehouse site.
• Gate Positioning: Accurately position trailers at the correct loading or unloading gate.
• Yard Coordination: Move trailers aside when needed to prevent delays or congestion.
• Return Trips: Bring trailers back to the parking area once they are loaded.
• Communication: Stay in close contact with the logistics team to coordinate all trailer movements.
• Connection Tasks: Properly connect and disconnect trailers to and from the shunting vehicle.
• Warehouse support: In the absence of shunter duties, you assist the warehouse team with basic logistics activities. This includes replenishing packaging materials in the production area, moving goods, checking assigned zones and carrying out general support tasks as required.
• Order & cleanliness: You contribute to maintaining order and cleanliness in the warehouse and on the premises in order to ensure a safe, organised and efficient working environment.
• Team Collaboration: Work respectfully and efficiently with colleagues and supervisors.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license for operating a shunter, license CE.
• Knowledge of and respect for safety regulations.
• Hands-on mentality and proactive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and constructive mindset.
• Good communication skills in Dutch and/or English.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Willing to work in two shifts: one week from 5h30 till 13h30 and one week from 14h till 22h.
