Shop Maintenance Manager

Do you want to be part of setting up a new production plant in Kosice, Slovakia? This is a fantastic project for you to develop and design one of the best-in-class plants, setting up the capability to produce 100% Electrical cars. 

Now looking for Maintenance Managers for several different shops (i.e., Stamping, Mega Casting, Body, Paint, Assembly, Propulsion (Battery and Electrical Engine), etc.). You will be some of the first to join the local shop management team. You will be a main contributor in setting up a Maintenance Organization defining the most efficient setup for the specific shop. Maintenance Managers, Central Maintenance Function and follow globally standardized maintenance ways of working. It will be your responsibility to recruit, train and build your maintenance organization using Value Driven Maintenance Processes and tools. 

How will your role look like?


Project phase: 

  • You will be an all-round counterpart to the ME project team in all sorts of maintenance engineering-related questions in the project. 
  • Set an optimal organization by defining, recruiting, and training resources together with Shop management across shops. 
  • Set the prerequisites for a shop with secured availability, maintainability, and maintenance supportability according to the VCC Reliability & Maintainability process. 
  • Together with the Shop Management Team (including Shop manager, Maintenance, Shop Engineering, Logistics, Quality, and HR) you will start to develop the best-in-class shop. 

Running phase: 

  • Secure and improve KPIs such as OPR, technical availability, MCBF, MDT, maintenance costs, and safety. 
  • Being responsible for leading and developing the Shop Maintenance Team applying Value Driven Maintenance. 
  • Support and take an active part in the shop’s future development (Line speed changes and introduction of new products/processes). 

Do you fit the profile?

  • Your background is a technical bachelor’s degree or at least +5 years of relevant experience.
  • You are a leader with solid communication skills and have proven knowledge of improving performance in industrial, maintenance, production, and/or logistic processes. 
  • Experience running production in car manufacturing, such as Stamping, Mega Casting, Body, Paint, Assembly, Battery Assembly, or Engine assembly will be highly meritorious.
