Shop Floor Engineer

Job Summary The Shop Floor Engineer works closely with the foreman and machinists to support production, troubleshoot issues, and assist with inspection readiness. This role bridges engineering and manufacturing to ensure parts meet design and quality requirements.   Key Responsibilities   · Work side-by-side with the shop foreman and machinists on the production floor · Assist machinists in understanding drawings and inspection requirements · Support parts through inspection and help resolve dimensional or tolerance issues · Interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) · Identify process improvements to reduce inspection failures or rework · Communicate with engineering, quality, and production teams
