SUMMARY: 

Receiving and documenting merchandise for delivery or return.

1st Shift, Mon – Fri.  Typical hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm, 8:30am - 5:30pm, or 9:00am - 6:00pm, with a 60 minute lunch break.  It could also be a shorter day 8:30am - 5:00pm with a 30 minute lunch.  There is some flexibility.

There may occasionally be an opportunity to work some overtime hours as dictated by workload.  This only happens a few times per year and only be about 0-5 OT hours that particular per week. 

 

JOB DUTIES

  • Receive and sort incoming stock into our Hyannis, MA headquarters
  • Receive stock per purchase orders and place goods in their proper locations
  • Pick, Pack & Ship according to warehouse pick ticket using FEDEX / UPS and Salesforce platforms
  • Coordinate with all departments to fulfill specific and ongoing inventory and shipping needs.
  • Collaborate and communicate with logistics manager, purchasing representatives, FEDEX / UPS / LTL service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products
  • Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering them and distributing packages and letters within the company
  • Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items and staff on hand to manage the shipments
  • Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling
  • Place merchandise in a warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary, operating forklifts and pallet jacks for large goods
  • Troubleshoot shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them
  • Identify and complete Priority tasks according to operational needs and daily shipping deadlines
  • Keep track of, manage and maintain traceability of multiple warehouse inventories (in data management system and physical)
  • Keep shipping supplies ordered and stocked
  • Assist with floor organization
  • Ability to build pallets neatly and organized
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • At least two years logistics customer service experience
  • Able to operate FEDEX / UPS ship manager as well as arrangement of LTL shipments through FEDEX Freight or other carriers
  • Able to ship internationally through FEDEX ship manager
  • Strong computer skills and quick learner on receiving/shipping and returns receiving
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team on time-sensitive projects
  • Strong sense of urgency, time management and organizational skills
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

 

COMPENSATION

  • The hourly pay range is $22.00 - $25.00.  The pay range listed is an estimate. Pay at Savant is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.
