Symmetrio is recruiting a ServiceNow Portfolio Manager consultant for its customer, a large, complex international hospitality and technology company.  The ServiceNow Portfolio Manager consultant is a senior, strategic role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the enterprise ServiceNow program to ensure alignment with business priorities, value realization, services improvement and creation, and long-term platform sustainability.

This role partners closely with executive stakeholders, business leaders, and IT leadership to define portfolio strategy, prioritize investments, and govern delivery across multiple workstreams. The ideal candidate brings strong executive presence, deep ServiceNow program experience, and a disciplined approach grounded in Lean, Six Sigma, ITSM, ITIL, and Agile methodologies. 

This is a remote, 6-month contract opportunity with high possibility for extension.  Compensation is $160k-$210k. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the enterprise ServiceNow portfolio, including demand intake, prioritization, roadmap planning, and value tracking.
  • Partner with business and IT executives to align ServiceNow initiatives with strategic business objectives and desired outcomes.
  • Facilitate executive-level discussions to assess tradeoffs, sequence workstreams, and make informed prioritization decisions.
  • Establish and maintain portfolio governance structures, processes, and decision frameworks.
  • Oversee multiple ServiceNow workstreams (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, SecOps, custom workflows), ensuring coordination and alignment.
  • Ensure consistent application of Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, and ITSM principles across ServiceNow delivery efforts.
  • Translate business strategy into an actionable, outcome-driven ServiceNow roadmap.
  • Track and communicate portfolio performance, risks, dependencies, and value realization to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with platform owners, architects, and delivery teams to balance innovation, technical health, and operational stability.
  • Drive continuous improvement of portfolio management practices, including demand management, capacity planning, and delivery predictability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in portfolio management, program management, or platform leadership within large enterprises.
  • Proven experience managing complex ServiceNow programs across multiple modules and business functions.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders and facilitate strategic decision-making.
  • Deep understanding of ITSM and ITIL practices and how they apply to ServiceNow implementations.
  • Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile methodologies to technology and process transformation initiatives.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with pragmatic execution in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with enterprise governance, demand management, and value-based prioritization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, Lean Six Sigma, SAFe, PMP, ServiceNow CSA).
