Position Overview:
Term: 6+ months
Location: United States (Remote)
Pay: $70.00 - $75.00; commensurate with experience
Hours: normal business hours
We are seeking a ServiceNow ITAM Implementation Consultant (HAM Pro) to lead and execute a Hardware Asset Management Professional (HAM Pro) implementation in a healthcare enterprise environment. This is a hands-on delivery role requiring proven experience implementing HAM Pro end-to-end, including process design, configuration, integrations, data migration, testing, and go-live support.
The consultant will work remote, partnering with IT Operations, ServiceNow Platform teams, Procurement, Security/Compliance, and Finance to deliver an ITAM solution that improves asset lifecycle visibility, controls, and audit readiness.

HAM Pro Implementation & Delivery
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of ServiceNow HAM Pro, including discovery workshops, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Configure and optimize HAM Pro capabilities such as:
- Hardware asset lifecycle workflows (request → procurement → receiving → deployment → refresh → disposal)
- Stockrooms, inventory controls, transfer orders, and asset audits
- Model management, normalization/standardization, asset/CI alignment
- Contract/warranty tracking and vendor lifecycle support
- Establish ITAM governance and operating procedures aligned to healthcare and enterprise controls.
Process & Stakeholder Alignment (Healthcare)
- Facilitate requirements gathering with stakeholders across:
- IT Operations / End User Services / Field Services
- Procurement & Supply Chain
- Finance / Fixed Asset teams
- Security, Risk, and Compliance
- Translate healthcare operational needs into ServiceNow configuration and measurable outcomes (accuracy, auditability, lifecycle compliance).
Integrations, Data, and CMDB/Discovery Alignment
- Design and support integrations between HAM Pro and relevant upstream/downstream systems (as applicable), such as:
- Endpoint management (e.g., Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, Jamf)
- Procurement/ERP platforms (e.g., Oracle, Workday, SAP, Coupa)
- Discovery and inventory sources
- Drive asset data quality improvements:
- Data mapping, cleansing, deduplication, and migration strategy
- Establish data standards (naming, model categories, ownership, locations)
- Ensure alignment between Assets and Configuration Items (CIs), supporting CMDB health and lifecycle synchronization.
Testing, Cutover, and Go-Live
- Build and execute test plans (unit, system, UAT) and manage defect triage/resolution.
- Define cutover approach, training needs, and hypercare support plan.
- Produce implementation documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Deliver dashboards and operational reporting for:
- Inventory accuracy and audit completion
- Lifecycle compliance and refresh planning
- Stockroom performance and fulfillment metrics
- Asset data completeness and exceptions
- Recommend post-go-live enhancements and automation opportunities.
What you will bring to the team:
- Proven experience implementing ServiceNow HAM Pro in at least one prior engagement (please be prepared to describe scope and outcomes).
- Healthcare enterprise experience (provider, payer, or health system), with awareness of regulated operational environments.
- Strong hands-on ServiceNow experience in:
- IT Asset Management (ITAM) / HAM Pro
- Asset lifecycle workflows, stockroom/inventory, audits
- Data migration and reconciliation
- Reporting and dashboards
- Solid understanding of ITAM best practices:
- Procurement-to-pay touchpoints
- Inventory/warehouse controls
- Deployment/refresh/disposal processes
- Audit and compliance readiness
- Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders (Procurement, Finance, Security, IT Ops).
- Excellent communication skills, including workshop facilitation and documentation.
