WHAT YOU WILL DO:

 The Service Readiness Lead plays a critical role in supporting the successful transition of new data center sites into operational readiness. This position is responsible for planning and coordinating all activities required to prepare new sites for transfer to EOS control, ensuring infrastructure, staffing, and operational processes are aligned to corporate network (CorpNet) standards. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong organization, communication, and leadership skills while managing multiple priorities with limited or evolving direction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Service Readiness & Transition

  • Lead service readiness planning for new data center expansions, ensuring seamless transition to EOS operational control.
  • Develop and execute readiness checklists, ensuring completion of critical infrastructure, staffing, and operational milestones.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure all operational deliverables are met prior to site handover.

New Site Setup & Staffing Coordination

  • Support new site setup activities, including CorpNet staffing plans and PR (production readiness) for rack landings.
  • Partner with workforce management and site leads to align staffing levels and schedules with ramp timelines.

Procurement & Scoping Support

  • Collaborate with the Service Delivery Manager and Procurement teams to scope and develop RFPs/RFQs for expansion initiatives.
  • Assist in evaluating vendor proposals and identifying key deliverables for site readiness.

Training & Knowledge Transfer

  • Help coordinate and maintain training schedules for new CorpNet sites to ensure operational teams are fully prepared for go-live.
  • Support knowledge transfer sessions, documentation updates, and readiness reviews.

Client Engagement & Communication

  • Participate in client-facing meetings and presentations, supporting status updates, site readiness overviews, and risk assessments.
  • Serve as a liaison between operations, engineering, and client stakeholders to align on readiness timelines and deliverables.

Operational Tracking & Reporting

  • Track and report on resource allotment, site readiness status, and open action items.
  • Provide visibility to leadership through dashboards, weekly summaries, and progress reports.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Work closely with the SDM and Director to align readiness planning with overall program goals.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work through ambiguity and incomplete requirements while driving clarity and progress.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years in data center operations, service delivery, or infrastructure readiness roles.
  • Strong understanding of data center operations, network deployments, and service transition best practices.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and drive results in complex, cross-functional environments.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with experience tracking resources and deliverables.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Power BI, and project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, or Asana).
  • Ability to travel up to 20% (domestic and/or international as required).

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

  • Experience in large-scale data center expansion projects.
  • Familiarity with CorpNet standards and operational readiness frameworks.
  • Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or similar).

Pay Range
$80,000$90,000 USD
