Service Electrical Foreman: This is where you come in.

We’re looking for a Service Electrical Foreman to provide excellent customer service while driving operational efficiency. Our Service Electrical Department maintains a high level of technical service capabilities that maximize the customer’s experience while delivering profitable growth for the company.  This position is responsible for the execution of service and maintenance through the effective management of labor and delivery of services that meet or exceed our customer’s expectations.  They are responsible for maintaining active engagement with technicians, key customers, and other internal departments to ensure a quality product and maximized customer experience. This Service Electrical Foreman role reports to Artur Chernyak – Controls and Electrical Operations Manager on a collaborative team working on a variety of projects and initiatives to support our growing business. This highly visible role interacts with all levels and functions within the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Project Planning and Coordination

  • Collaborate with project managers and contractors to plan and schedule electrical work.
  • Coordinate project activities, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.

Team Management

  • Supervise and lead a team of electricians and apprentices.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and expertise.
  • Provide guidance and training to ensure the team's proficiency in electrical work.

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure that all electrical work meets industry standards, codes, and project specifications.
  • Conduct inspections to verify the quality of installations and adherence to safety protocols.

Material and Resource Management

  • Oversee the procurement and management of electrical materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment needed for the project.

Safety Compliance

  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to address potential hazards.
  • Ensure that all team members comply with safety regulations and guidelines.

Problem-Solving

  • Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during a project.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems and provide solutions to ensure project continuity.

Communication

  • Serve as a liaison between project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and project managers.
  • Communicate project progress, challenges, and milestones to relevant parties.

Blueprint Interpretation

  • Interpret and understand electrical blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Communicate project requirements to the team and ensure accurate implementation.

Cost Control

  • Monitor project expenses and work within budget constraints.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and safety.

Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and as-built drawings.
  • Prepare reports for project managers and clients as needed.

Training and Development

  • Identify training needs for team members and facilitate ongoing education.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and skill development within the team.

Customer Relations

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and ensuring satisfaction.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Strength and Endurance: Lift and carry heavy equipment, materials, and tools. Physical strength and endurance are essential to handle the demands of the job.
  • Manual Dexterity: Precise and skilled hand movements are required for tasks such as wiring, connecting components, and using hand tools. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity are important.
  • Climbing and Balancing: Work may require employees to work at heights, such as climbing ladders, scaffolds, or using lifts to reach systems. The ability to maintain balance and work comfortably at elevated locations is crucial.

Benefits

Compensation is aligned with the union wage scale, ranging from $60 to $78 per hour based on union designation. Sign-on bonus and licensing consideration included.
