We are seeking a Sephora Account Director to join our team on an 18-month maternity leave contract, based out of our Toronto head office. This role holds full accountability for the performance, growth, and evolution of our Sephora business, while also supporting select emerging retail initiatives.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead strategic planning, commercial execution, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver sales, profitability, and innovation objectives.
What you will do
- This role is a core member of the Leadership Team, contributing to broader business strategy, cross-functional decision-making, and long-term growth planning. As a leadership team participant, the Sephora Account Director partners closely with senior leaders across Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Education to shape priorities, align resources, and drive enterprise-level initiatives, while representing the Sephora business with a strong commercial and consumer lens.
- Own the end-to-end Sephora account strategy, developing and executing business and marketing plans that drive sustained growth across Sephora and Sephora.ca
- Identify and unlock opportunities to maximize sell-through, revenue, profitability, and market share, while proactively mitigating risk
- Lead the identification, development, and negotiation of incremental growth opportunities within Sephora and potential new retail channels
- Provide clear, strategic performance updates to the General Manager, grounded in data, insight, and commercial rigor
- Analyze market, consumer, and competitive dynamics - including innovation, pricing, packaging, and promotional activity -and translate insights into action
- Continuously assess the health of the business, including inventory management, competitive positioning, key decision-makers, and account pain points, developing action plans to accelerate growth
- Deliver robust reporting and analysis to inform decision-making and drive profitable sales performance
- Forecast innovation, promotions, and materials for assigned accounts, partnering closely with Demand Planning on ongoing SKU-level sales planning
- Collaborate cross-functionally to shape and guide paid media, PR, social, and analytical strategies in support of commercial objectives
- Lead the preparation and delivery of retailer presentations, line reviews, and business updates
- Own annual sales and expense budgets, providing monthly and quarterly forecasts in partnership with Finance
- Manage monthly P&L performance, ensuring disciplined execution against targets
- Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing field team, including one direct report and a broader group of indirect reports

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proven experience in National Account Retail Management and/or Retail Marketing
- Minimum 5 years of progressive account sales or marketing experience within consumer goods or professional skin/hair (manufacturer or distributor)
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to synthesize multiple inputs into a clear, cohesive strategy
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, manage complexity, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Strategic, innovative thinker with a positive, solutions-oriented mindset
- 20% travel anticipated within North America
