About the Role:
We are hiring for an SEO Strategist to join us in a brand new role, focused on expanding our portfolio of B2B brands. In this role you'll leverage your SEO expertise to own the identification of new market opportunities, planning high-quality SEO publications, and coordinating their launch so they are ready to attract organic traffic from day one - with a view to build out a repeatable process to scale your efforts over time.
You will be part of the Media team and will work closely with Content Operations, SEO, Tech, Design, and UX. This role reports to the Content Operations Director.
The overall objective of this role is to consistently launch new SEO content sites that are well-structured, high-quality, and positioned to grow traffic and revenue quickly, handing off launched sites to the Media team for ongoing content production.

What You'll Be Doing (responsibilities):
Researching new site opportunities by reviewing search demand, competitors, and audience needs
Communicating research to stakeholders to evaluate and decide which new content sites should be launched and in what order
Populate the taxonomy (topics) of each site
Build comprehensive backlogs of content (focusing on software-related topics) to hand off to the production team
Work with content, design, tech, and SEO teammates to bring new sites live
Ensure each site is technically sound, properly branded, and ready to be indexed by search engines
Coordinating the production of the first 50 pieces of content for each site ("incubating" it)
Track early performance after launch and identify improvements and issues
Improve site launch process so future launches become easier and smoother
How Your Success Will Be Measured:
Number of new sites launched (goal: ~2 per month)
Completion of full content backlogs for each site, including well-organized topic groupings
Foundational content published for each site (approximately 50 core pages per site)
Your Skillset Includes:
Strong experience with SEO research and content planning
Ability to analyze search results and competitor sites
Experience building content backlogs (keyword mining, backlog grooming, topic mapping)
Experience and comfort working with spreadsheets and data (we use AirTable)
Comfort working with multiple teams and coordinating projects
Strong communication and documentation skills
High attention to detail and follow-through
Nice To Haves:
Experience launching or scaling content websites
Familiarity with WordPress
Familiarity with AirTable
Experience working with designers, developers, or UX teams
Salary Statement:
This full-time position is available as either a remote or hybrid position (depending on location), with an annual salary in the range of $70,000 to $85,000 CAD. The range is a guide for the expected skills, knowledge and experience for new hires based in Canada only. Seniority level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. This means ranges will vary for candidates based outside of Canada and/or at different seniority levels. In addition to annual salary, full-time employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
