Position Overview

Steer Health is seeking a highly strategic and execution focused SEO Specialist to manage enterprise level organic growth initiatives for multi-location healthcare organizations.

This role blends advanced technical SEO, local search strategy, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), AI driven keyword intelligence, structured data architecture, and performance analytics. The ideal candidate understands how modern search works across both traditional Google results and AI generated experiences, and can translate strategy into structured sprint based execution.

This is a hands on role responsible for driving measurable impact across rankings, non brand organic growth, local visibility, and conversion attribution.

Key Responsibilities

SEO Strategy & Program Execution

· Lead structured SEO implementation sprints from audit to optimization

· Translate contract scope into phased roadmaps with clear milestones and deliverables

· Maintain execution tracking, risk logs, and performance dashboards

· Coordinate with development, content, analytics, and client stakeholders

Generative Engine Optimization

· Architect entity first content structures aligned to schema best practices

· Deploy JSON LD structured data across service, provider, and location templates

· Create AI summary ready content sections including definitive explainers and FAQ blocks

· Monitor and optimize for AI generated search visibility and citation opportunities

Local SEO & Multi Location Optimization

· Manage Google Business Profile strategy at scale

· Optimize categories, services, appointment URLs, Q and A, and review workflows

· Oversee citation audits and directory submissions to ensure NAP consistency

· Drive improvements in local pack rankings and map visibility

Keyword Intelligence & Content Strategy

· Develop AI powered keyword cluster maps from symptom to condition to service intent

· Perform competitor gap analysis and identify quick win ranking opportunities

· Mine People Also Ask data and integrate into structured Q and A content

· Align organic strategy with paid search messaging for unified language

Technical SEO

· Conduct full crawl audits covering indexation gaps, canonical issues, sitemap hygiene, and internal linking

· Lead Core Web Vitals improvements including INP, LCP, and CLS optimization

· Implement and validate schema markup across templates

Content & Page Optimization

· Develop detailed page level optimization briefs

· Guide creation of authoritative, compliance ready healthcare content

· Ensure each location or service page is uniquely structured for intent and conversion

· Integrate review language and user signals into on page optimization

Reporting & KPIs

· Establish baseline performance metrics and track sprint based progress

· Report on organic sessions, non brand growth, keyword rankings, local visibility, and conversion attribution

· Identify ranking acceleration opportunities for keywords in positions 5 to 20

· Present weekly summaries and monthly executive updates

Requirements

3 plus years of advanced SEO experience, preferably in healthcare

· Demonstrated experience managing multi location local SEO programs

· Strong technical SEO expertise including crawl analysis, schema deployment, and Core Web Vitals optimization

· Hands on experience with AI driven keyword clustering and generative search optimization

· Experience managing Google Business Profiles at scale

· Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for high volume keyword and location management

· Expertise in tools such as SEMrush, Google Search Console, GA4, and Looker Studio

· Strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience working with healthcare organizations or regulated industries

· Familiarity with server side tagging and advanced attribution frameworks

· Experience leading sprint based SEO programs with structured milestone reporting

· Understanding of E-E-A-T and trust signals in healthcare content strategy
