SEO Manager (Remote) - EST Hours

ISTA Personnel Solutions South Africa - we are a global BPO company, partnering with a USA-based client in the Healthcare Industry who is seeking SEO Manager. The successful candidate will need to take full ownership of their SEO strategy and execution. They will work hands-on with content, audits, and optimizations — and over time, grow into a leadership role managing an internal team of SEO professionals. This is a brand-new role, so we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running with deep technical SEO expertise and strategic know-how.

PLEASE NOTE:

• Working Hours: This role requires you to work EST hours Mon - Fri from 8am to 5pm EST (14h00pm to 23h00am South African time. These working hours are subject to change depending on daylight savings)
• Work Environment: This is a remote role for South African Citizens only.
• Internet Requirements: A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and the ability to support a wired Ethernet connection is mandatory. Applicants without a fixed fibre line cannot be considered.
• Power Backup: A reliable power backup solution (UPS, Solar, Generator) is required to manage load shedding and power outages. Applicants without a power backup cannot be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a results-driven SEO strategy tailored to the behavioural health industry
• Conduct technical SEO audits and implement changes
• Optimize content and oversee keyword strategies
• Monitor SEO performance and generate actionable insights
• Stay ahead of algorithm changes and industry trends
• Eventually build and manage a team of SEO specialists as needed
• Collaborate cross-functionally with content, development, and leadership teams

Requirements

• Proven technical SEO expertise (on-page, off-page, technical audits, crawling/indexing, site architecture)
• Strong grasp of Google’s algorithms and ranking factors
• Ability to use SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, etc.)
• Ability to work within the behavioural health or healthcare digital landscape
• Excellent written and verbal English and can communicate clearly with stakeholders.
• Flexible and comfortable working independently with minimal oversight.
