SEO and WordPress Specialist - (011 - 501)

Job Role: SEO WordPress Specialist 

Compensation range: $1500 - $1800 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.

Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled SEO and WordPress Specialist to optimize our website, enhance search engine visibility, and improve overall user experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing WordPress websites and executing effective SEO strategies to drive organic traffic.

Very Important: client communication and fluency in expressing development work done on SEO and website management. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, update, and maintain WordPress websites, including plugin and theme management.
• Implement on-page and off-page SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings.
• Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis.
• Monitor website performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEO software (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush).
• Optimize website content, metadata, URLs, and images for SEO.
• Ensure the website is mobile-friendly, fast, and follows best practices for UX and SEO.
• Collaborate with content creators to ensure SEO best practices are applied.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, including technical SEO problems.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest SEO and WordPress trends, tools, and best practice

Requirements

• Proven experience as an SEO and WordPress specialist or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of WordPress CMS, themes, and plugins.
• Solid understanding of SEO principles, strategies, and tools.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic website troubleshooting.
• Analytical mindset with experience in website performance monitoring.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
