The Places and Build organization at Zoox is a nimble and diverse group of professionals that manages the Real Estate portfolio, design, construction of bespoke office and industrial environments, maintenance of these facilities, and delivery of culinary services.
Zoox is seeking a highly experienced Senior Facilities Manager to support our growing HQ Campus in Foster City. This role will be responsible for the facilities operations across a diverse mix of spaces, including R&D labs, office environments, and light manufacturing areas. The ideal candidate will have experience managing multi-building campuses with a strong focus on facilities services, preventive maintenance, and operational excellence.
You will be detail-oriented with strong technical knowledge (MEP systems), financial management skills, and excellent customer-service abilities while engaging across all departments and cross-functional teams (Places and Build, IT, security, food, events, etc.) at Zoox.
In this role, you will:
- Own the overall workplace operations strategy, ensuring services, standards, and programs effectively support business goals, employee experience, and portfolio readiness.
- Serve as the senior point of contact for workplace operations, partnering with executives, business leaders, and internal support teams to prioritize needs, solve problems, and deliver consistent service levels.
- Lead portfolio-wide vendor management, including contract development, SLA ownership, KPI tracking, service performance reviews, and competitive bid processes where appropriate.
- Oversee workplace financials, including annual planning, budget forecasting, expense tracking, and reporting, while managing resources strategically to balance end-user expectations with evolving budget and staffing constraints.
- Build, lead, and mentor workplace team members and external service partners, creating a culture of accountability, responsiveness, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Drive operational excellence through process development, workplace standards, moves management, documentation, compliance coordination, and implementation of programs that improve how the portfolio is supported.
Qualifications
Over 8 years of experience in workplace, facilities, or office operations management, particularly in technology, corporate campus, or industrial settings.
Proven leadership skills in dynamic environments with shifting priorities, effectively managing multiple stakeholder groups.
Strong background in managing workplace operations, employee services, vendor relationships, and cross-functional partnerships across complex portfolios.
Expertise in budget management, expense forecasting, and balancing service delivery with fiscal constraints.
Excellent organizational and project coordination skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in managing workflows, documentation, and priorities.
Ability to develop and implement processes, standards, and service programs that enhance operational efficiency and performance.
